Over the past two months, Mozilla has been hoovering up new users with reckless abandon – nearly 4 million people per week. At 330 million, the projected number of Firefox users has actually outstripped the population of the United States (which is currently around 305 million).

This version is a lot more stable and polished than Chromium, which is the open-source browser that Google Chrome is based on. Chromium also used to be the only way to get Chrome on your Mac.

Although Google Chrome for Mac is only now available as a developer build, you can safely install it as a secondary browser. It’s fast, clean, and has an awesome address bar. In fact, I am writing this post in Google Chrome for Mac now. Seriously, you have to check it out. You can grab your copy of the developer build for Mac here.
